Strategic Planning – Upbeat Arts

A message to our Program Leaders

Upbeat Arts is at an exciting and important point in its journey.

We are beginning to plan for the next three years, and we want to do that well. Not just by looking at what is directly in front of us, but by thinking bigger, asking where we want to be in ten years’ time, and then working backwards to understand what we need to do now to get there.

To do that kind of planning well, we need to hear from you.

Program Leaders are the eyes, the ears and the heartbeat of Upbeat Arts. You are in the room with members every week. You hold the relationships with volunteers, referrers and local communities. You see what is working, what is hard, and what is possible in ways that no one else in the organisation can.

That is why your input into this process is not just welcomed, it is essential.

This is your opportunity to share your experience, your ideas and your vision for what Upbeat Arts could become. We want to shape the future of this organisation collectively, grounded in the knowledge and insight of the people closest to the work.

Your responses will feed directly into our Board Strategic Planning Day on Saturday 27 June 2026 and will help set the direction for the next three years and beyond.

UPBEAT ARTS

Strategic Planning Survey

For Program Leaders

A note before you begin

Your experience and perspective as part of the Upbeat Arts team matters, and it helps shape where we go next. You hold a unique role in this organisation. This survey is a genuine opportunity to share your views, your experience of the work, and what feels important as we look ahead.

Why this survey matters

This survey feeds directly into our Upbeat Arts Board Strategic Planning Day on 27 June 2026. Your responses will help inform decisions about our future direction and priorities, how we support our people, how we understand and demonstrate our impact, and how we grow in a way that feels steady and sustainable.

How your responses will be used

This survey is being facilitated by Nicole, State Stakeholder Engagement Lead. Responses are collected via Gravity Forms and the survey is anonymous. Findings will be analysed and shared as themes and group-level insights. Individual responses may be used to illustrate key ideas but will not be attributed to any individual.

A note on anonymity

Because this survey goes to a small group, some responses may be recognisable even without a name attached. Please share what feels comfortable for you, knowing care will be taken in how responses are interpreted and shared.

There are no right or wrong answers. Your perspective matters.

Estimated time: 10 to 20 minutes. If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Lynam.
