Board Member (Voluntary) – Remote/Work From Home
Help shape the next chapter of Upbeat Arts, a growing Queensland not-for-profit using choirs and creative writing to help adults living with mental illness build connection, confidence and belonging across our expanding programs.
Upbeat Arts is looking for a Board Member with expertise in Legal and Governance; or Mental Health Services and Policy to help strengthen our governance, strategy and impact as we grow. This is a voluntary role for someone who wants to contribute strategically to a values driven arts organisation making a genuine difference in people’s lives.
Minimum two year term. A mix of online and in person meetings.

Program Leader, Ipswich Choir
Help establish and launch our newest choir in Ipswich and lead the day to day running of the program. Part time, flexible role. Approximately 10 to 12 hours per week. Commencement from September/October 2026.
Choir Conductor, Ipswich Choir
Lead the musical direction of our new choir in Ipswich. We will be looking to recruit a professional musician who is experienced and confident in conducting choirs.
Sessional, 3 hours per week, 45 weeks per year. Date and time to be confirmed based on the team’s availability. Induction end of 2026, commence from late January 2027
